hurghadaquad.tours is an independent editorial guide to quad, buggy, jeep and desert safari trips from Hurghada and the nearby Red Sea resorts. We check facts against official and operator sources, Egyptian press and official travel advice, and we date the prices on each page. Even so, rules, fees, programmes and prices for desert trips in Egypt change often and without notice. A page can be correct on the day it is checked and out of date a week later.
Nothing on this site is professional, legal, medical or insurance advice. Before you book, read the listing itself, including the operator's name, what is included and not included, the riding time, the pick-up area and the cancellation terms. Where the listing and this site differ, the listing and the operator's terms apply.
No booking contract with us
We do not sell trips, take payments or run any safari station, camp or vehicle. When you follow a link to GetYourGuide or Headout and book there, your booking is a contract with that platform and the operator who runs the trip, on their terms. GetYourGuide, for example, acts as a booking agent: its terms say the contract for the activity is between you and the supplier. Questions about a booking, changes, cancellations and refunds go to the platform or the operator; see the contact page for where to turn.
Prices
Prices on our pages come from the booking platforms and are shown as "from" prices: usually the cheapest option of a listing, per person unless the listing says otherwise. They change daily and may not include extras that some sellers charge in cash on the day, such as a "safari fee", a pick-up from an outer resort, a scarf and goggles, photos or tips. Prices from operators' own websites are quoted in their own currency as published on the date shown. The price that counts is the one shown at checkout on the platform or confirmed by the operator. Operators, listings and reviews
We are not the official site of any company we mention, and we are not affiliated with any safari company, desert camp, hotel, tour operator or Egyptian authority. Company names, brands and trademarks belong to their owners.
Where we link a company to a listing, we do so only as far as the evidence we found supports it, and we say when a platform does not name the operator in the data we can read. Always check the operator's name on the listing before paying. Our reviews and editorial scores are opinions based on the facts we could check; they are not customer ratings and not a guarantee of how any trip will run on a given day. Egypt has no public register of desert-safari companies, and we cannot certify any operator's licence, insurance, vehicles or staff. The operators page explains how we approach this.
Safety and insurance
Quad bikes, buggies, jeeps, camels and horses all carry a risk of injury. The UK government's travel advice notes serious quad bike accidents involving British nationals in Egypt's resort areas and advises always wearing a crash helmet (FCDO safety advice). Follow the operator's safety rules and briefing, wear a helmet, ride within your ability and at the guide's pace, and do not ride after drinking alcohol.
Many travel insurance policies exclude quad biking or cover it only under conditions. Check your own policy before you go. Weather, schedules and changes
Desert trips depend on weather, traffic, security arrangements and the operator's own decisions. Pick-up times, routes, camps and programmes can change. Climate figures, sunrise and sunset times and transfer times on this site are averages or typical values, not forecasts or promises.
Our liability
We are not responsible for changes, cancellations, delays, accidents, injuries, losses or damage arising from a trip booked through a link on this site, or for the conduct of any operator, platform, driver or guide. We are not responsible for weather, for prices or availability on the platforms, or for the content of external websites we link to. A link is not an endorsement.
