Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh is worth booking if you are staying in Sahl Hasheesh and want a horse ride or a quad with a short transfer: the listings that match its programme rate 4.7–4.9. What you cannot do is check much about the company itself, so read the operator name on the listing before you pay.

Verdict
3.8/ 5
A Sahl Hasheesh stable whose matching listings score very well on large review numbers, especially the quad safari (4.8 from 2,057) and the desert-and-sea horse ride (4.9 from 214). It loses points for what is missing: no live website, no published riding minutes, no licence information and a web set-up shared with other brands. Good trips, thin paperwork.

Pros
- Well-rated quad and horse listings on large review numbers

- Several mixed options: quad, horse and camel in one evening
Cons
- No working website; direct booking only by message
- Riding time not stated on the listings
- The "Blue Lagoon" stop is not located anywhere on the listing
- Its web storefront sits on a platform that files the same titles under several brands
Who Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh is
The name confuses people, so first things first. Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh is a horse-riding stable. A local business directory lists it for guided horseback rides on a Makadi Bay trail and along the Sahl Hasheesh beach, for first-timers and experienced riders, open daily from 07:00 and sometimes closed in severe weather. The "sea horse" part is the ride itself: horses taken onto the beach and into the sea. It has nothing to do with any hotel, boat, dive centre or "Seahorse" brand elsewhere on the Red Sea.
Its public contact points are an Instagram account, @seahorsehurghada, a Facebook page, /hurghadahorse, and a WhatsApp number; the directory and its booking-platform record give the same ones. On a shared booking platform it trades as "Sea Horse Sahl Hashesh — Horse Riding · Camel · Quad Bike", with no web address of its own.
There is a domain with the stable's name, but it shows only a "coming soon" page titled "Safari Sahara", and it was registered in the same second as a Desert Fox Safari storefront. The names share web infrastructure; we found no proof of common ownership. An older property blog describes a "Sea Horse Club" in Sahl Hasheesh with a different phone number. We found nothing that links the two, so treat them as separate.
Founding year, number of horses, quad fleet and licence are not published anywhere we could find.
What Sea Horse sells: horse rides, quads and the Blue Lagoon
The main listing is the Sahl Hasheesh quad desert safari with hotel pick-up: 4.8 from 2,057 reviews, from about $24, 2.5–5 hours depending on the option. It offers a classic desert ride, a sunset version with camel, BBQ and stargazing, or a private guided "Blue Lagoon" tour. It has the same title and programme as the quad tour on Sea Horse's booking page, but the listing summary does not name its operator. GetYourGuide shows the operator's name on the listing page, so check it.
The "Blue Lagoon" here is a coastal lagoon stop on the Makadi–Sahl Hasheesh side, not Dahab's Blue Lagoon in Sinai, and the listing does not say exactly where it is.
Several other listings carry the same names as tours on Sea Horse's booking page. They may or may not be run by the stable:
- Sahl Hasheesh desert and sea horse ride with optional swimming: 4.9 from 214 reviews, from about $25, 2 hours.
- Sunrise quad and Blue Lagoon with breakfast: 4.7 from 129 reviews, from about $24.
- Quad, horse and camel ride with optional BBQ and stargazing: 4.8 from 90 reviews, from about $22.
- Camel ride, Blue Lagoon, BBQ and stargazing: 4.7 from 60 reviews.
- VIP buggy and camel safari with BBQ and stargazing: 4.5 from 528 reviews, from about $78.

Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh prices
There is no live direct price list. Its booking page shows prices, but they are storefront figures we could not confirm, so we do not repeat them. The page does list add-ons such as a double quad, photos and GoPro footage: ask what they cost before the ride starts, and remember you can say no.
On GetYourGuide the quad safari starts at about $24 and the horse ride at about $25 (USD; the price shown is the cheapest option). The Sahl Hasheesh quad includes hotel pick-up. Sahl Hasheesh is about 14–15 km in a straight line from the Safari Land stations, with transfers of 25–30 minutes, so do not accept a big pick-up supplement from Sahl Hasheesh for a quad on any listing. Our Sahl Hasheesh guide covers the resort's other options.
Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh reviews: what travellers say
The ratings are strong: 4.8 from 2,057 reviews on the quad listing and 4.9 on the horse ride put these trips in the top band of the Hurghada area. Read the newest reviews on the listing, and check these points yourself:
- The operator name on the GetYourGuide page, and whether it is the stable.
- Riding minutes. The listings give the trip length, not the time on the quad or in the saddle. Ask.
- Your weight. The two Hurghada-area stables that publish limits set 90 and 100 kg; Sea Horse publishes none, so ask before paying.
- The horses. One rider per animal; refuse a thin or lame horse; look for rub sores under the saddle; check for shade and water at the yard.
- Helmets. Ask for one on the horse and on the quad.
- The sea swim. At the stables that publish it, swimming with horses is a summer activity; bring swimwear, a towel, long trousers and closed shoes.
Our horse riding guide has the full welfare checklist and the larger stables.

How to book Sea Horse
The simplest way is GetYourGuide: its standard rule is a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before, and you get a written programme and reviews from people who booked. Your contract is with the local operator named on the listing, not with GetYourGuide.
Direct booking means a message through its Instagram or Facebook page. You will get a WhatsApp conversation, not a contract, so ask for the price including pick-up and any fees in writing, and ask for the Ministry of Tourism licence and its expiry date. There is no public register of desert-safari companies to check it against.
Alternatives to Sea Horse in Sahl Hasheesh and Makadi
For a quad with a short transfer from the southern resorts, Makadi Excursions runs a cheap 2-hour Makadi quad, and the 5-hour Sahl Hasheesh ATV, buggy, horse and camel safari is a new, unattributed listing with only a handful of reviews. For a quieter evening with camels and horses, BADU Camp is in the Makadi Bay desert. Our quad tours guide compares the big quad listings, and the operators hub explains who runs what in Hurghada.

What are the Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh reviews like?
The Sahl Hasheesh quad listing that matches its programme rates 4.8 from 2,057 reviews on GetYourGuide, and the Sahl Hasheesh desert-and-sea horse ride with the same name as its tour rates 4.9 from 214. Check the operator name on the listing.
