Safari Sahara is a real station with an unusually detailed price list, published riding times and clear rules, but nothing on the big platforms carries its name, so you either book on its own site or pick a comparable listing and accept that it may be someone else's trip.

Who Safari Sahara Hurghada is

Safari Sahara Hurghada is a desert-safari operator with a quad station in Safari Land, a desert zone of numbered sectors on the Safaga road past the airport where several stations sit side by side. Reseller listings give its station as Safari Land, Sector 58. Its booking site, safari-sahara.com (with a hyphen), takes card payments in euros and runs in English, Arabic, German, Russian and French.

The company describes itself as operating since 2010, with local Bedouin guides and a fleet of quads, buggies and Polaris RZRs; those are its own claims. It also says it owns Sahara Park Hurghada, a desert village about 20 km inland with camels, "racing cars", a small zoo of desert animals and a theatre for belly dance, magician and tanoura (Egyptian whirling-skirt dance) shows. Other agencies also sell trips to Sahara Park, and one Hurghada agency names "Safari Sahara Hurghada" as the camp on its own quad tour (see local agencies).

Which Safari Sahara is this?

  • safari-sahara.com (with a hyphen) is the Hurghada operator reviewed here.
  • safarisahara.com (no hyphen) is a Moroccan agency selling Sahara trips from Marrakech. It has nothing to do with Hurghada.
  • Sahara Park is the desert village Safari Sahara says it owns; many other sellers take guests there too.
  • A placeholder web page for a Sahl Hasheesh horse stable carries the title "Safari Sahara". The names share web infrastructure; we found no proof of common ownership. See Sea Horse Sahl Hasheesh.

Its site now runs on a shared booking platform used by many Hurghada safari names, so we use only its price list and rules here.

What Safari Sahara sells, and its prices

All prices are as listed on its own booking site when we checked, adult / child:

Trip Price What the listing says
Quad "Top Offer" €15 / €15 2–3 h; 08:00 or 15:00; about 20 km, 20 minutes, to a Bedouin-style village; tea and camel
Quad Easy Ride €20 / €10 3 h; beginner pace; 45 minutes, 30 km out
Quad Power Tour €35 / €20 3 h; for experienced drivers; private guide +€30
Quad half-day to Sahara Park €25 / €15 15:00 start; BBQ, tanoura and belly-dance show
Quad with stargazing €50 / €25 15:00 start; digital telescopes
Makadi Bay quads by the sea, with camel €30 / €20 2 h; desert, then a stretch along the sea
Morning Polaris RZR €150 double / €200 family 3 h, 08:30
Sunset dune buggy with BBQ €180 3–4 h
Jeep to Sahara Park / Super Safari €20 / €30 4–6 h

Rules on these trips: drivers must be 16 or over, and under-16s ride with an adult. You sign a damage-and-injury disclaimer; read what it says about damage to the quad before you sign. Goggles and a scarf are extra (the scarf is €5); the Easy Ride lists a DVD of your trip at €70. Pick-up from Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi, El Gouna, Soma Bay or Safaga costs €5–10 more.

The riding figures are the useful part. The €15 Top Offer rides about 20 minutes each way: roughly 40 minutes on the quad in a 2–3-hour trip, which is typical for Hurghada. The Easy Ride is longer, 45 minutes out at beginner pace. The Makadi "Quads by the Sea" trip is one of the few that actually rides along the coast; most station loops run inland.

Sahara Park: what to expect

Sahara Park is a show camp, not a Bedouin home. Expect the format of the big evening camps: bread and tea, a camel ride, an open-buffet BBQ, then belly dance, tanoura and other acts on a stage. An older traveller's account described the Sahara Park stop as a fenced, decorated tourist version of a Bedouin village, with camel rides offered for tips and souvenirs for sale. That is fine for a lively evening; if you want a quiet, alcohol-free Bedouin dinner without belly dance, look at BADU Camp instead. The Bedouin village guide explains the difference.

Safari Sahara on GetYourGuide: what you can book

We found no GetYourGuide or Headout listing that names Safari Sahara as its operator. The closest comparable trip is Hurghada: Desert Quad Bike Adventure With Hotel Transfers, the desert quad adventure with hotel transfers: a well-rated Hurghada quad (4.9 from about 1,170 reviews, from about $22.50, 2–3.5 hours, optional dinner and show). Its listing summary does not name the operator, and Safari Sahara's own site has no matching product. We list it as a comparable trip, not as Safari Sahara's. GetYourGuide shows the operator's name on the listing page; check it before you book.

Two GetYourGuide listings go to Sahara Park itself: Hurghada: Full-Day Desert Quad, Camel Ride, Dinner & Show, a quad trip that goes to Sahara Park with camel, dinner and show, from about $13; and Hurghada: Jeep Safari, Quad, Camel Ride & Bedouin Dinner, a jeep safari with quad, camel and Bedouin dinner at Sahara Park, from about $37. Neither names Safari Sahara as the operator.

Safari Sahara Hurghada reviews: what to check

We could not tie any platform reviews to Safari Sahara, and we do not quote storefront reviews. Check these points instead:

  • Which tour you are booking, and its riding minutes; the €15 and €20 quads differ in pace and distance.
  • Whether your hotel's pick-up is included or costs €5–10.
  • The disclaimer you will sign, and whether a helmet is provided. The UK government's advice is "Always wear a crash helmet" (FCDO travel advice).
  • The Ministry of Tourism licence. Egypt requires desert trips to be run by companies licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities; ask to see the licence and its expiry date.
  • Your travel insurance: many policies exclude quad biking.

How to book Safari Sahara

To ride with Safari Sahara itself, book on its own booking site, safari-sahara.com, and pay by card in euros; make sure you are not on the Moroccan site without the hyphen. If you prefer a platform booking with a written refund rule, choose Hurghada: Desert Quad Bike Adventure With Hotel Transfers or one of the Sahara Park listings above, knowing the operator may be different.

Alternatives to Safari Sahara

Another Safari Land station, Scorpion Safari, publishes its programmes and dollar prices in the same detail. For a cheap two-hour quad with pick-up included from Makadi and Sahl Hasheesh, see Makadi Excursions. Formats are compared in the quad tours guide and the desert safari guide; every company we review is in the operators hub.
